Fascinating experience! Love my patients… I’ve learnt to have “Patience with Patients”.
I developed my entire ideology of --- how to win patients?
While working one-on-one with patients, I strongly believe in one patient oat one time
GRMEP Internal Medicine Program was a blessing for me. It seeded the impulse of educating patients and empowering them to take better care of themselves. I’ve always followed Albert Einstein’s quote “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value”
Love Manipal, Love my KMC Medical College. What an amazing experience it was to study there and develop my professional personality. I was able to completely overcome my stuttering, and also made numerous acronyms and checklists to help my self-study and learning. I owe my strong foundation in medicine to this institute. Thank you, Dr. T.M.A. Pai for building this fine institute.
This was my turning point, I got to meet excellent teacher and my role model for live, Dr. A.K. Handa(my botany teacher). He was the one who instilled a lot of confidence in me. While I was already fighting with my childhood speech impediment, my Dad passed away when I was in 12th grade. The World seemed to have stuck for me at the crude age of 19. Dr. Handa held my hand at the most difficult times of my life. I can never pay back his stalwart support.
Education uplifts though I had a lot of hardships like stuttering, acne and obesity for which I used to be bullied a lot, I was lucky and blessed to have great teachers the key lesson from them was “Love your students” and they will learn automatically, that’s exactly I want to follow with my patients and young medical students that I coach for!
Passing Step 2 CS exam in first attempt is very important. Why? Simply because the competition is server and no one has a second chance to give. The tight spots may be taken instantly by those who scored better. So what is the Key to pass the exam with good score? Caregivers nowadays are graded on HCAHPS and CAHPS which is an important revenue component in the healthcare. 30% of reimbursement depends on HCAHPS. If a medical student fails to convince a standardized patient in USMLE Step 2 CS Exam, can he/she win over a real-life patient? That time has gone when doctors were compensated with a fee-for-service. So I coach and train my students to command their clinical skills as well as develop empathetic communication skills, so they don’t just treat their patients, but WIN them! Patient Experience is all that matters now and that is, the key to score well in USMLE exams and secure a residency spot.
On one hand we have aging population and on the other hand we have shortage of doctors. How can we bridge the gap? We can overcome this by training physician assistants and nurse practitioners. But, physicians spent decades in training, can the PAs, NPs and LPNs be trained in the limited time they have in their respective schools? Dr.Singh uses the same Vital Checklist methodology to train PAs and NPs as well. Infact, I've been successful in doing that. Please check out this special 8-hour study program Vital Checklist Workshop for Physician Assistants and Nursing Practitioners. Treating human beings is not about learning on the job as even one mistake can be catastrophic to the patient’s life. We need to be proactive and teach the right practice from the get-go.
"Thanks so much for all your support and blessings to you all as we all traverse this journey together. It is with your love and compassion and help that I will be able to forge ahead into renewed strength and wellness"
"It gives me great pleasure to be writing a reference for Dr. H. Singh. I have enjoyed knowing Dr. Singh and working with him these past years. As a Physician Recruiter, I come in contact with physicians of all specialties, shapes and sizes and I can tell you that Dr. Singh's clinical skills, and bedside manner are among the finest. In my opinion, anyone would be in good hands if Dr. Singh was handling them as a physician or in any business venture. I continue to be amazed at his great outlook on life in general and can tell you his reputation with patients is wonderful. This is thanking Dr. Singh for the pleasure of knowing him, and wishing him success in the future. "
U.S. Patients as well as International Patients both can consult me for their health conditions anytime.
